St Patrick’s Square offers a space of respite in the heart of Auckland City, featuring a material palette of Jura Grey and Guilin limestone alongside G3027 granite, selected for their durability, tonal variation and natural character.
Overview
Whether passing through, stopping for lunch or visiting the cathedral, St Patrick’s Square offers a space to pause within Auckland’s CBD. The contemporary civic setting is defined by a considered palette of natural stone, with Jura Grey limestone, Guilin limestone and G3027 granite selected to create subtle contrast in colour, texture and finish while meeting the demands of a high-traffic public environment.
The natural variation within each stone brings depth and material character to the square, creating a durable streetscape designed to age gracefully while complementing the surrounding architecture.
