Flowing through midtown Auckland, Te Hā Noa – Victoria Street is a pedestrian-first streetscape designed as a continuous ribbon of greenery through the city.

The project brings together generous planting, open space, cultural design elements and essential urban infrastructure to create a more connected and welcoming public environment. Designsource supplied natural stone elements that integrate seamlessly with the landscape and wider streetscape.

Hand-carved basalt tree pits provide both structure and informal seating while supporting the corridor’s greenery. Granite crazy paving complements the organic planting and sculptural forms, creating a considered transition between the natural landscape and surrounding city walkways.

Together, the basalt and granite introduce texture, permanence and natural variation to the streetscape, balancing the practical demands of a high-traffic urban environment with a strong sense of place.
